It's a date!

1960. The dealership was established by John H. Ellers. John and his family operate the business successfully for 28 years.

1988. The dealership was purchased by the Hamilton family. David Hamilton has a long association with Holden - most recently in management positions at Holden and GMAC [Holden Financial Services]

1988. Hamilton Holden achieved Grand Master Dealer status in recognition of excellence in Customer Service. The award has been held every year from 1988 to the present.

1993. The dealership was renamed and relaunched as 'Hamilton Holden'.

1997. A major redevelopment was completed at the Brighton Road site. The dealership now occupies a total of 4 acres of land servicing 'new', 'used', 'parts' and 'service' customers.

2000. New showroom and administration facilities are completed for the Hamilton Holden Used Vehicles operation

2002. New vehicle showroom and Customer Lounge facilities are opened in February.

2003. Installed 'big top' shade sails over entire new car display.

2004. Relocated Parts Dept to larger premises in Bowker Street (adjacent existing premises).

2007. David Hamilton appointed Chairman.

2007. Sally Hamilton appointed Dealer Principal.

 

2009. Dealership awarded Grand Master status (top 30 Dealers in Australia) for 20th consecutive year.

 

2010. Sally Hamilton wins Chairman's Grand Master award.
